The feud of the Vampires and Were-Creatures, or Lycans as they are most commonly known as, is one that is older tan time and one that was not the result of an act of spite or hate by the Gods at one another, but instead the actions of those God's and Goddess' own followers.
When the Moon Goddess gave birth to Were-Creatures, she created them to respect the law of the pack and the law of the Jungle; eat children should one take another Alpha's pack and procreate to replace those lost. The Moon Goddess Tesia Gaia, the Energy of Nature, remembers along with her brother, Razor, whose Father and Mother had born Gods and Goddesses before one another, but never sought to create a race. They simply sought to protect mortals by giving them mastery over nature, and blood magick.
However for Gaia the Moon Goddess, due to ever increasing violence, the ____ of God and Lucifer, and the other Deities, in her decidedly neutral stance decided that the Human race deserved better protection than what they offered.
In secret under night, when the moon was protected by shadow, Gaia met with the God of the Blood to create a race, the Vampires. He was known by many names, but feeling the same as his sister, he agreed that they would create the first of their race. They would each choose seven mortals, and confer upon their power; for one race to have its power at the will of the moon with enhanced speed, strength, age, hearing, and an ability to take the form of a humanoid yet animal looking shape. The Were-Creatures - with wolves being among them. Razor, God of the Thousand Cuts, created the Vampires. They were creatures whose manipulation of Shadow Magick, Death Magick, Telepathy, enhanced strength, enhanced speed, and in ritual they would drink only from their greatest enemies. For the Were-Creatures, they would only eat for enjoyment of the dead in celebration over a great foe.
The seven mortals would include House Drakul; the First King of Vampires; and first to walk among the daylight. Armong the first clans were the Black Claw Wolves Clan. These two leaders could not agree on proper tactics.
With the God of Fate declaring that no God or Goddess would interfere in mortal affairs, the decree anguished Razor and Gaia, who at first, for all their wisdom, could look no more than as these two great and powerful leaders finally came to blows. After the races inevitably began to squabble, despite their common enemies in the Necromancers, Demons, and Orcs, they could not agree. When the final battle was over, King Dracula stood victorious. In his victory, he and the other clans celebrated, yet Dracula tried to make amends later, unknowing that his people had gone against the Blood God's order, and Dracula's order as King and Lord of Blood, that the Vampires were not to feed from the Lycans, or mortals. Instead, while Dracula went to aid the wounded army and the King of the Lycans, watched in grief and amazement of Dracula's actions. The Vampires had indulged, not only abusing their power, but disobeying their King's orders, including his own Clan.
From out of nowhere time froze, and Razor and Gaia stood shaking their heads. For the pride of both races, especially the King of the Lycans, they would forever be slaves to their nature. They would be bound to the very whim of the full moon, King Dracula's entire clan was destroyed, and vampires would never again walk in the sun. They would forever be bound by holy relics and blessed items. They would be slaves to their hunger for blood, and silver would reduce them to the strength of a mortal. With both races now punished, Dracula and Caven Blackclaw, King of the Lycans, agreed their races would never know peace. So the two sword a truce, that agreed to never deliberately cross one another. Over time, it was learned Dracula had been the only full blood; or as they were more commonly known, pure bloods. Dracula had been the only one capable of walking in the sun, and only needed to feed on two to three humans per month, and his race needed to feed to remain strong. Feeding from the dead would poison them, up to the number of pints they drank, for that many days, or from their own kind.
King Blackclaw was killed in a battle where the Orcs had been manipulated by the vampires to attack the Lycans, and their leader, at the time having long since forgotten the truces, the same as King BLackclaw due to his ___ turning to grief and hate with his punishment, and his fangs were ripped from their head and made into a necklace by the son of Dracula as a trophy. It is said that this necklace can actually control the transformation of a lycan creature and suppress it at their will for as long as it remains around the wearer's neck. The Curse of the Moon Hunger would be liefted if the Necklace were ever recovered.
The races have hated each other ever since.
