Not many of the Druada or the Ellendarians know the truth as to why their two proud races, despite their skin tone and eye color, hate each other. The Ellendarians and Druada do in fact both share many of the same physical traits, and even the same pride based arrogance.
The few old enough, of both races, do actually know the truth they grimace in humiliation and do what they must to keep the truth quiet; for in the great cataclysm came close the birth of the God that would hold dominion over the Druada. It wasn't a singular act that began dividing the two kin, but instead a series of acts. One such act was that the Druada, at the pinnacle of their first Empire ever forged, embraced their indulgent desires, drinking in excess, promiscuous acts, and the enslavement of the "filthy, dread creatures" of the world; Orcs and even Trolls, fell Dwarves, and cull dozens of vampires, humans who dared to embrace the dark arts and let it consume them, and lycans. The mortal races were used as slave labor, as the women of the Ellendarian; their expendable assets. The humans they enslaved could learn their language easily and they knew how to adapt to their surroundings. The creatures of the darkness were preyed upon by some of the Ellendarian just like the Darkness of the beasts had done to the Ellendarian.
In this they began giving life to the deep seated arrogance and festering desires of overindulgence. These acts however would finally culminate in the great Duel of the Deities, when the idea to poison the Dwarven Goddess of Blacksmith ale was suggested by two of the Ellendarian were forever banished from worshiping at the altars of the Ellendarian and were demanded to repent for their blasphemy.
These two High Priests forged a plan. With stealth, they encouraged the Ellendarian who felt superior to join them. Finally after two hundred years, the two High Priests made their move breaking into the ancient Ethereal vault and played the Harp to two songs. The echoes blasted across the universe as every slave in the Ellendarien were sacrificed as one and half of the followers that were Ellendarian were slaughtered as the Two Gods of the Druada were born; Slanethius, the Fork Tongued Lord of Lies and Master of Shadows and Intrigues, and Talinashe the Queen of Spiders, the Mistress of Poison, Dark blade magick and the hate of their race manifested. Talinashe's body mutated, her lower half becoming a massive 380 foot tall lower spider torso, with razors for hair, her upper form stark white like snow with hair that was deep purple, and eyes like coals. Slanathius morphed as well, his flesh changing to the white marble, but with curling, ugly ram's horns that streamed purple flames. The eyes of the God changed to a deep purple, his hair as white as his flesh with faint blue streaks through it.
From the God's back expunged hideous, membranous wings that had eyes at the tips, with claws protecting them. It was the birth of the two Gods that would not only hunger eternally for the corrupted souls of their people but also the war that would forever haunt the Ellendarian race, for they had gained a new foe, the Druada.
