Half Breeds
These days as racial tolerances continue to increase and territories become smaller, we are seeing more and more cross breeding. Purebreds, while strong in numbers in some species are still finding themselves to now be in the minority in comparison to the greater numbers of cross or Half-breeds.
Most Half-breeds will find themselves to be considered both weaker and stronger in some respects because of the mixes of blood. If both parents have the same strengths and weaknesses, then the child will have those same strengths and weaknesses. If the parents happen to have different strengths and weaknesses, then the child may find that they have some resistance to those things that weaken one parent. The same can be said of strengths.
Example
Parental Weakness – Silver: Both parents have an extreme reaction to this substance/item. This being the case, the child will experience the same symptoms as the parents. In most cases, a reaction this extreme causes death. Because both parents have this weakness, it doesn't mean the child will suffer any more than the parents.
Parental Strength – Silver: Only one parent suffers no extreme effects from this substance or item while the other parent is weak against this. This being the case, the child will not have the same extreme reactions to silver as the parent that is weak.
Some Half-breeds may find that they have a weakness against more than one type of magic, item, substance, etc. The effects of these things can range from mild (similar to a bad cold that hangs on for a few days) to severe (very much like a poisoning that doesn't quite do the job of killing.) These symptoms can last a few days or as long as a week.
Damphir’s are something totally different than a Half-breed. Because of the virus in a vampire’s blood, any offspring produced will be considered a Living Vampire. (Please see the charter on Living Vampires.) The same can be said of dragons. There are NO half dragons. Dragons tend to mate with their own species and if on some rare occasion they choose to mate with one not of their species, the blood will either over-ride that of the second contributing DNA or succumb to it so that the child is wholly whatever the other parents heritage is or may even perhaps become totally human.
Some Half-breeds may find they come by some skills (stats) naturally. Both of the parents may have increased smell, hearing, sight, taste, etc. This being the case, the child will suffer no diminished capacities in this respect.

Recap
- If born (in game), Half-breeds will receive no stat boosts until puberty.
- Once matured, ONE stat may be chosen from each of the parents.
- If both parents have enhanced sight, smell, etc., the child will have those same traits upon reaching puberty.
- If parents are weak against different things/items, the Half-breed will have some resistance to those things. (See notes above.)
- While weaknesses for Half-breeds might not be as strong as the full blooded Parent, a mix of weaknesses can be just as deadly as the full weakness. Listed below are the weaknesses of some of the races of Meztrailov:
• Angels – Unholy
• Demons – Holy
• Elementals:
- Water/Fire
- Earth/Air
- Void/Cosmos
• Fae – Iron
• Weres – Silver
• Elves – Corruption (Dark/Unholy)
• Druada – Light
