Dragons
There are few races in existence that can say they have lived or endured as hard as the Dragon Kind. Nearly as ancient as the Faerie Courts themselves, these proud and ancient creatures have existed, keeping themselves isolated to their own realm, known simply among mortals as the Draconian Realm. Masters of illusion and powerful magicks, the Dragons have been able to hide and blend among the world for millennias.
Guardians of ancient treasures, this is not always the case. In today’s world, the Dragon moves in shadows, concealed by illusion magicks. While a Dragon is fiercely loyal to both ally and rider (If one is lucky enough to tame a dragon as their mount), to cross one of these majestic creatures is to ensure your own demise in swift and brutal retribution. Dragons are known for their masterfully hide their true forms under mortal guise as well as create and control illusions, in being skilled in illusion magick. However, while they may be ancient practitioners of illusion magick, their guises are not without flaw. If one looks closely at a dragon in their true form, they will notice the small tendrils of smoke that escape through the nostrils or mouth when breath is taken. A dragon’s voice is also naturally gruff, though Dragons have been known to sing in beautiful tones when in their true form.

At your true form, your great wings spread, you are larger than life, and have the ability to devour your foes in a single bite. Your True Form is awe and terror inspiring, and proves why you are on top of the food chain. But be warned, with many enemies, even the mightiest of beings can be brought down.
- Armored Hide: A dragon’s flesh is naturally tough and scaled, giving them protection even at birth.
- Strength of the Blood: Ancient power fuels your bloodline, and fills your veins. Dragons have unnatural strength even when really small.
Racial Abilities
- Illusion Proficiency: Ancient masters in the art of illusion magick, Dragons have a natural proficiency for the rudimentary illusion spell. Dragons have a natural Proficiency for Level 1 Illusion Magick.
- Flame-breath: A burst of flame shoots from the dragon’s mouth, burning their target. This attack can only be used once per combat encounter. This attack causes the burning 1 condition . In human form this ability remains as it is a natural part of a dragon's anatomy to breathe fire.
Racial Detriments
- Magickal Deterrence: While powerful with magick, and armored with thick scales, Dragons are quite susceptible to damage from magickal attacks.
- Yellow Belly: The underbelly of the beast may not always be exposed but when it is, a solid set of strikes could gut the dragon and slay him outright. Because a Dragon’s underbelly is its most exposed when in its true form, its underbelly has an is very weak against attacks to it. This is why Dragons are smart enough to never expose that vulnerable area.
- Reduced Speed: The disguise of the dragon is not always a benefit. While it does offer adaptation, it doesn’t allow for full use of the dragon’s natural speed. While in human form, Dragons take a penalty to their speed. However, while in human form, Dragons MAY fly, at a reduced fly speed; however, this also is the same for their racing speed as well.
